Joseph Bakir

Joseph Bakir (Kurdish Yosef Bekir , * 1971 in Afrin ) is a German artist of Kurdish-Syrian origin.

Life

Bakir completed his education from 1984 to 1989 at the Arts Center in Aleppo and studied from 1990 to 1994 at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Damascus . He graduated with a degree in painting. From 1994 to 1996 he completed postgraduate studies in painting. Bakir has lived in Germany since 1997 and is a member of the Federal Association of Visual Artists .
