Joseph Bollig

Joseph Bollig (born May 19, 1906 in Opladen ; † August 23, 1983 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1946 to 1966 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Life

Bollig graduated from high school in 1925 and then studied law and political science at the universities of Cologne and Berlin until 1928. In November 1928 he passed his legal traineeship and in July 1931 he received his doctorate. In June of the following year he passed the major state law examination. A month later he started working as a lawyer at the Cologne District and Regional Court. Later he was also legal counsel for Schusterinsel AG in Opladen. From 1945 he was entrusted with the management of all confiscated property in the Rhein-Wupper district.

Before the Second World War, Bollig belonged to the German Center Party , whose board member in the Cologne St. Gereon group he was from 1932 to 1933. After the Second World War he joined the CDU, of which he was chairman from 1946 to 1948 in the Rhein-Wupper district . From 1946 until 1948, Bollig was a member and chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the Rhein-Wupper district. Bollig was appointed a member of the second term of office in 1946 and was elected a year later with the direct mandate in constituency 048 Unterer Rhein-Wupper-Kreis as a direct candidate in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia , to which he was elected from December 19, 1946 to July 23 1966 belonged.
