Joseph H. Carens

Joseph H. Carens (born February 2, 1945 ) is Professor of Political Theory at the University of Toronto .

Carens is one of the most prominent advocates of open borders and a universal right to freedom of movement for "normal, peaceful people who are only looking for a way to build a decent, safe life for themselves and their families".

He has been a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada since 2015 .
