Joseph Huber (composer)

Joseph Huber (born April 17, 1837 in Sigmaringen , † April 23, 1886 in Stuttgart ) was a German violinist and composer .

He had been a member of the court orchestra in Stuttgart since 1865 , pursued his own paths as a composer (partly related to the Wagnerian) and disdained the key signatures. He wrote four one-movement symphonies, including No. 3 “Through Darkness to Light” and No. 4 “Against the Current”, the operas “Rose of Lebanon” and “Irene”, violin and cello pieces, songs, etc.
