Joseph Jacob Bollinger (born October 5, 1803 in Ellwangen (Jagst) , † 1884 in Ay ) was a German champagne producer and founder of the Bollinger champagne house .

Joseph Jacob Bollinger was born the son of a lawyer. After his apprenticeship as a sales representative of the champagne house Müller- Ruinart , he founded the champagne house Renaudin-Bollinger together with the admiral Comte de Villermont and Paul Renaudin in the French town of Ay in 1829 . Renaudin died without an heir, but his name remained on the label until the end of the 1960s - today the champagne is simply called Bollinger . Joseph-Jacques Bollinger - as he was called in France - died in 1884 and passed the company on to his son.

Today the Bollinger champagne house has around 160 hectares of cultivation area.
