Joseph Lamothe
Joseph Lamothe († August 31, 1891 ) was a Haitian general , politician, and President of Haiti .
biography
After finishing school, he completed a military career and rose to become general and commander of the army units in the Ouest department .
After the resignation of President Pierre Théoma Boisrond-Canal , he became a member on July 17, 1879, and then on July 26, 1879 Chairman of a Provisional Government and thus acting President of Haiti . He held this office until Lysius Salomon was elected on October 2, 1879.
