Joseph Maria de Yermo y Parres (born November 10, 1851 in Jalmolonga , Mexico, † September 20, 1904 in Puebla de los Angeles, Mexico) was a Mexican priest and founder of the order. He is a saint in the Catholic Church.

Joseph Maria joined the Vinzenzgemeinschaft (Community of St. Vinzenz von Paul ) in 1867 , but left there in 1877. In 1879 he was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Leòn . In 1885 he founded the Congregation of the Servants of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Poor , which is especially dedicated to the needy and needy. Joseph Maria himself was the founder of schools, hospitals, orphanages and old people's homes.

He was beatified by John Paul II in 1990 and canonized in 2000.
