Joseph Millson

Joseph Millson (born April 27, 1974 in Berkshire , England ) is a British actor .

Career

At the age of sixteen, Millson decided to become an actor. A little later, Millson completed his acting training at the Rose Bruford Acting School in London. His appearance in La Belle Dame Sans Merci by John Keats in 1996 earned him his first credits in a movie. Millson became known for the role of Dr. Sam Morgan on the Peak Practice series . In 2006, Milson played MI6 agent Carter in the movie James Bond 007 - Casino Royale . From 2007 to 2008 he starred as single father Alan Jackson in the television series The Sarah Jane Adventures . From 2011 to 2013 he played the doctor Luc Hemingway in the British television series Holby City . Since 2015 Millson has played Major Robert Ross in the British television series Banished . In addition to his appearances in film and television, Millson can also be seen in the theater. In 2014 he played the title role in the play Macbeth at Shakespeare's Globe in London.

Private life

In 1999, Joseph Millson married his partner Caroline Fitzgerald. The couple had a son and daughter together. In 2012, Millson and Fitzgerald divorced. In the middle of the same year, Millson dated Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery . The couple separated after five months. In 2013 he married Sarah-Jane Potts . He had met this while filming the television series Holby City .
