Joseph Marie Minala (born August 24, 1996 in Yaoundé ) is a Cameroonian football player . The midfielder is under contract with Lazio .

Career

Minala came to Italy at the age of 15 and was discovered in 2013 by the Lazio scouting department , who accepted Minala into their junior division. Already in the second half of the 2013/14 season he posted his first professional appearances for the Laziali . On April 6, 2014, Minala came on as a substitute in the 2-0 win against Sampdoria Genoa , making his Serie A debut . In the summer of 2014 Minala was initially awarded to FC Bari 1908 , for whom he was on the field in 18 games. A year later, there was a loan deal with the US Latina , where Minala was only used in three games, so the loan was canceled in early 2016. Shortly afterwards it was awarded again to FC Bari in 1908.

In January 2017, Minala was awarded to the US Salernitana for a year and a half .

Trivia

Minala was accused in 2014 of having given incorrect age information and that he was already over 40 years old. Both Minala himself and his club Lazio Rome contradicted the charge. The FIGC could not find any irregularities.
