Joseph Sarkis
Joseph (Joe) Sarkis (* 1949 ) ( Arabic : جوزيف سركيس) is a Lebanese politician and has been Minister for Tourism in the Lebanese government under Prime Minister Fuad Siniora since July 19, 2005 .
He is a senior member of the Forces Libanaises . From 1988 to 1994 he was a member of the Kata'ib Politburo , but distanced himself from the party after its leadership took a pro-Syrian stance. He became active in the Forces Libanaises and in 2002 became the party's head for Beirut .
Sarkis is a civil engineer with a degree from the École Supérieure des Ingénieurs de Beyrouth .
