Fuad Siniora

Fuad Siniora (also Fouad Siniora ; Arabic فؤاد السنيورة Fu'ād as-Sinyūra ; * April 14, 1943 in Sidon ) is a Lebanese politician ( future movement ). From June 30, 2005 to November 9, 2009 he was Prime Minister of Lebanon. He belongs to the group of Sunnis who, according to the constitution of 1999, always provide the head of government (the two presidential offices - state president and parliamentary president - arereserved forChristians and Shiites in Lebanon in accordance with the national pact in terms of denominational parity).

Life

After studying at the American University (AUB) in Beirut , Siniora initially worked at Citibank before teaching at the American University in the 1970s. He then worked in the Audit Committee of the Lebanese Central Bank from 1977 and was then employed in Rafiq Hariri's company from 1982 .

Siniora was finance minister in several post-war governments and Rafiq Hariri's close confidante. Most recently he was "Chairman and Managing Director" of the Groupe Méditerranée , which includes the Banque de la Méditerranée , Saudi Lebanese Bank , Allied Bank and Banque de la Méditerranée Suisse .

He is married to Huda Bsat and has three children.

Siniora was the provisional president of Lebanon until May 25, 2008, after which Michel Suleiman was elected to the office of president.
