Abdallah Beyhum

Abdallah Beyhum (also Abdullah Bayhum ) (* 1879 , † 1962 ) was a politician from Greater Lebanon .

He was Prime Minister of Lebanon from January 29, 1934 to January 30, 1936 and from September 21, 1939 to April 4, 1941 . For the third and last time he was head of government from July 21, 1943 to September 25, 1943. He then offered a reception in honor of Béchara el-Khoury , the newly elected President of the Republic; this reception was politically sensitive, since Lebanon was still a League of Nations mandate and the French authorities were against the election of Béchara el-Khoury as president, which is why Beyhum was imprisoned on November 11, 1943.

Beyhum wore the Ottoman fez all his life .
