Ahmed Daouk

Ahmed Bey Daouk ( Arabic أحمد الداعوق, DMG Aḥmad ad-Dāʿūq ; * 1892 in Beirut ; † 1979 ) was a politician from Greater Lebanon . Under the French mandate he was Lebanese Prime Minister from December 1, 1941 to July 26, 1942 under President Alfred Naccache .

From 1944 to 1958 he represented Lebanon as envoy to France (1944 to 1953 as plenipotentiary minister , 1953 to 1958 as ambassador).

Daouk became Prime Minister for a second time on May 14, 1960 under President Fuad Schihab - at the head of a government charged with preparing parliamentary elections. However, he resigned from his post on August 1st.
