Takieddine Solh

Takieddine Solh (also Takieddin Solh , Takieddin el-Solh , Arabic تقي الدين الصلح, DMG Taqī ad-Dīn aṣ-Ṣulḥ , * 1908 in Sidon , Mutesarriflik Lebanonberg ; † November 27, 1988 in Paris , France ) was a conservative Lebanese politician.

From 1957 to 1960 and from 1964 to 1968 he represented the Bekaa Valley in the Lebanese parliament, the Assemblée nationale . From 1964 to 1965 he was Minister of the Interior. On July 8, 1973 he was appointed Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, which he remained until October 31, 1974. On July 20, 1980, he was asked to form a government again, but he was unable to do so and resigned on October 25.

He was the cousin of Riad Solh and was considered a conservative politician who wore the Ottoman fez all his life . His wife was Fadwa Barazi El-Solh.
