Nazem Akkari

Nazem Akkari ( Arabic ناظم عكاري, DMG Nāẓim ʿAkkārī ; * 1902 in Tripoli ; † March 11, 1985 ) was a Lebanese politician who became Prime Minister on September 10, 1952 in the wake of a government crisis . He held the office until September 14, 1952.

Life

Born in Tripoli in 1902, he completed his education at l'école sultanite de Tripoli and continued his university studies at the University of Vienna . During his political career in the era of Béchara el-Khoury , Akkari became Minister of the Interior, Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister, among others. He was also a minister in the era of Fuad Schihab .

Akkari died on March 11, 1985.
