Joseph and Anna Fassbender Prize

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Joseph and Anna Fassbender Prize was established in 1990 as a foundation by the widow of the Cologne artist Joseph Fassbender, who died in 1974 . Anna Fassbender commissioned the city of Brühl with this foundation to support graphic artists and hand drawn artists. There are no specifications regarding the training path, age, thematic or technical focus. The prize is endowed with € 1,500; in 2019 it was doubled on the occasion of the 30th anniversary.

In addition, the winner of this competition will have the opportunity to exhibit his works for two weeks in a special exhibition in Brühl. The jury includes art historians, artists, a representative of the residents of the city of Brühl, the chairman of the Max-Ernst-Gesellschaft eV and, as a representative of the city of Brühl, the mayor.
