Joshua Harris

Joshua Harris (born December 30, 1974 in Dayton , Ohio ) is an American author and pastor .

Joshua Harris' father was the leader of the home schooling movement in the United States . Joshua is the oldest of six children. He wrote for "New Attitude" for 4 years and was thus editor of the magazine New Attitude , a Christian magazine for teenagers. After serving as senior pastor at Covenant Life Church ( Gaithersburg , Maryland ) from 1997 to 2015 , Harris is currently pursuing further studies at Regent College in Vancouver , British Columbia .

Personal

Harris is married and has three children.

On July 18, 2019, he announced the separation from his wife Shannon via Instagram.
On July 26, 2019, he announced via Instagram that he was no longer a Christian. He also apologized for his earlier books and their statements. He explicitly apologized to the LGBTQ + community for his views at the time.
