Josta Stapper
Josta Stapper (actually Josef Stapper ) (born February 18, 1941 in Cologne ) is a German visual artist, graphic artist and cartoonist . He has become particularly well known in recent years for his monthly cartoons in Y - Das Magazin der Bundeswehr .
From 1956 to 1959 Stapper did an apprenticeship in animation in the Fischerkoesen studio in Bonn-Mehlem, at the same time he attended the Cologne factory schools until 1962 . Since 1962 he has been working as a freelance graphic artist and illustrator, including for the satirical magazine Pardon . Stapper has been represented as a freelance painter in galleries in Berlin and Hamburg since 1969 and has had a studio in the wax factory in Cologne since 1979. In the 1970s he created photorealistic works.
