The Joubin Islands ( French Îlots Joubin ) are a group of small islands at the southwestern end of the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago . They are located 5 km southwest of Cape Monaco on Anvers Island .
They were discovered during the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition led by polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot . Charcot named it after the French naturalist Louis Joubin (1861-1935).
