The Cape Monaco ( French Cap Albert de Monaco ) is a cape which the southwestern tip of Anvers Island in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago forms. The Gossler Islands lie in front of the cape .
It was discovered during the German Antarctic expedition, which lasted from 1873 to 1874, under the direction of polar explorer Eduard Dallmann , but was not recognized as a landmark on Anvers Island. Participants in the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903-1905) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot mapped it. Charcot named the cape after Albert I of Monaco (1848–1922), a sponsor of his research trip .
