The Wylie Bay is a 6-km wide bay on the southwestern coast of Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago . It lies between Cape Monaco and Norsel Point .
Participants in the Fourth French Antarctic Expedition (1903–1905) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot mapped them for the first time. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 after the British geodesist John Peter Wylie (1928-2008) from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey , who worked between 1956 and 1957 in Arthur Harbor on Anvers Island.
