The Norsel Point , after 1955 by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey survey made (FIDS) of falsely the southwest coast of Anvers Island assigned, is a headland on the northwest foothills of the discovered in 2005 Amsler Island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1957 after the Norwegian sealer MV Norsel , who was chartered by the FIDS between 1954 and 1955 to build the surveying station at Arthur Harbor .
