The Journal du Jura is a French-language Swiss daily newspaper from the city of Biel . Like the Bieler Tagblatt - the German-language equivalent - it is published by the Gassmann publishing house.

The Journal du Jura was founded in 1871 as an organ of the Jura liberals. Its predecessor was the Feuille d'Avis (1863) or the Feuille d'Avis de Bienne et de Neuveville (1868). In 1956 it took over the only local rival newspaper in Moutier , the Petit Jurassien .
