The Journal for Nature Conservation is an English-language scientific journal for international nature conservation . The magazine was launched in 1992 as a magazine for ecology and nature conservation, initially in German and is now published by Elsevier .

The journal deals with techniques and methods of modern international nature conservation. It builds a bridge between science and practice and connects nature conservation theory, policies and management as well as the topic of biodiversity with socio-economic concepts.
