Journal of my trip in 1769

The Journal of My Journey in 1769 , published in 1846, is a report written by Johann Gottfried Herder of the author's journey from Riga via Copenhagen and Elsinore to Nantes .

The work is generally regarded in Herder research as the “most significant document for understanding one of the most important turning points in his development as a person, as an author and as a thinker”. The text was also highlighted as an exemplary representation of the “primal scene of Sturm und Drang ”.
