The Journal of AOAC International , abbreviated J. AOAC Int. , is a scientific journal published by AOAC International . The journal was founded in 1915 under the name Journal of the Association of Official Agricultural Chemists . In 1966, the name was changed to Journal / Association of Official Analytical Chemists , which was changed to Journal of AOAC International in 1992 . It is currently published six times a year. Papers are published that deal with the application of analytical methods in food , pharmaceuticals , agriculture and the environment.
