The Journal of Dental Research , abbreviated J. Dent. Res., Or JDR , is a scientific journal published by SAGE Publishing on behalf of the International Association for Dental Research and the American Association for Dental Research . The JDR was founded by William John Gies in 1919. Gies was the editor until 1935. From 1958 to 1969 Frank J. Orland was the editor.
