The Jowett Jupiter is a sports car from the automobile manufacturer Jowett Cars and was produced from 1950 to 1954. During those years only 900 vehicles were made at Idle near Bradford .

Model description

The first Jupiter was powered by a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1486 cm³ and 60 hp (45 kW). This enables the vehicle to reach a top speed of around 140 km / h. Over the years the engine has been adjusted several times and there have been several revisions. Most vehicles were delivered with a factory body built by Fisher and Ludlow . In addition, 75 chassis received independent bodies from various British body manufacturers such as Abbott or Mead , but also from continental European plants such as Beutler , Ghia Aigle , Worblaufen and Farina .
