Jozo Acksteiner (* 1969 in Darmstadt ) is a German mathematician and professor of general business administration , especially logistics, at the University of Fulda . Acksteiner is the head of the dual degree course in logistics management in the business department. His research and teaching focuses are supply chain management , business analytics and geographic analytics .

Life

Acksteiner completed a diploma course in mathematics at the University of Wuppertal with distinction in 1996 . He received his PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA. In 1999 he received the Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and in 2001 the Doctor of Philosophy ( Ph.D ). in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a focus on queue theory and supply chain management .

Acksteiner worked as a strategy consultant and manager in the areas of supply chain management and IT . His professional positions include Strategy & (formerly Booz Allen Hamilton ), Arcandor , DHL and TNT .

Before his appointment as professor at Fulda University in 2017, he was a member of the Strategic Planning and Modeling Group at Hewlett Packard and Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Singapore.

Acksteiner was an Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore from 2014 to 2017 . He was also Co-Chair of the Supply Chain Management Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and Board Member of the Georgia Institute of Technology Alumni Singapore.

Acksteiner was a guest speaker at conferences such as BVL Logistikkongress, Supply Chain Asia, CHaINA Live, CSCMP Annual.

In 2015 he founded the start-up geolyx.com, a company that offers software, consulting and training in the field of geographic analytics.
