Juan Carlos Lasser

Juan Carlos Lasser (* 1952 in Darregueira , Buenos Aires Province , † May 19, 2007 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) was an Argentine painter .

Lasser studied at the Mutualidad de Estudiantes y Egresados ​​de Bellas Artes (MEEBA). The painter of abstract, colorful expressive pictures has exhibited his works in solo and group exhibitions since 1973 in his home Argentina as well as in Singapore, Korea, Cuba, Uruguay, Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria and the USA. The exhibition venues included the "Galería Atica", the "Fundación Banco Patricios", the "Galería de Arte Tema" and the "Galería Van Eyck" in Buenos Aires, the "Art Gallery" in Washington DC or the " Sicardi-Sanders Gallery "in Houston, Texas. In the course of his life he received various awards for his artistic work. So he was awarded the LXXXI Grand Prize. Salón Nacional de Artes Plásticas awarded. In 1990 he also received the First Prize for Painting from the Salón Municipal de Artes Plásticas Manuel Belgrano . Two years later he was awarded the First Prize of the Salón Nacional of Rosario . He was also able to count the Premio Benito Quinquela Martín and the Gran Premio Pintura Fundación Federico Lanús among his awards. Lasser died on May 19, 2007 at the age of 55 in the Argentine capital.
