Juan Huertas

Juan Antonio Huertas Garcia (* 24. June 1992 in Panama City ) is a professional boxer from Panama in the super featherweight division . As an amateur, he was a 2012 Olympic lightweight competitor .

Boxing career

As an amateur, he won the Panama Championships and the Panama National Golden Gloves in 2011. In 2012 he started at the 2012 Olympic Games in London , but lost in the first fight against Félix Verdejo from Puerto Rico (5:11).

In May 2013 he began his professional career and won seven fights in a row, six of them prematurely. After losing points to Bergman Aguilar from Costa Rica in April 2014, he won two more fights. He was, among other things, Master of Panama and title holder of the "Fedecentro" and "Fedelatin" titles of the WBA in super featherweight.
