Juan María Laboa Gallego

Juan María Laboa Gallego (born August 15, 1939 in Pasaia ) is a Spanish Roman Catholic priest and theologian .

Life

He studied philosophy at the Gregorian University (1959), was ordained a priest in Madrid on December 17, 1962 , and returned to Rome to continue his studies. There he received his doctorate in theology (1963) and in church history (1968). He also holds degrees in Philosophy and Humanities, specializing in History, from the Complutense University of Madrid (1973).

In Madrid he mainly carried out his pastoral and educational work. He was a delegate of the university pastoral ministry (1977-1984); Full Professor of Church History at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas and Spanish Political Law at the Faculty of Political Science at Complutense University. In addition, he is visiting professor at various European and American universities.

He is the founder and director of the magazine XX Siglos de Historia de la Iglesia .
