Juan Sánchez Méndez

Juan Pedro Sánchez Méndez (born January 19, 1967 ) is a Spanish linguist .

Sánchez Méndez received his doctorate in Spanish Philology from the University of Valencia in 1997 , where he was professor from 1999 to 2006. Since 2006 he has been director of the Institute for Hispanic Languages ​​and Literature ( Instituto de lengua y literatura hispánicas ) at the University of Neuchâtel , where he teaches Ibero-Romance linguistics. His most famous work is Historia de la lengua española en América .
