Juan Zurita
Juan Zurita (* 2 May 1917 in Veracruz , Mexico as Juan Bautista Zurita Ferrer ; † 24. March 2000 in Estado de Mexico , Mexico) was a Mexican boxer in the lightweight .
On February 13, 1932 he made his professional debut against Kid Nacho with a unanimous victory over six rounds. In 1933 he suffered his first defeat against his compatriot Carlos Ibarra . On March 8, 1944, he became world champion of the NBA (the NBA was renamed WBA in 1962 ). He held this title until April 18, 1945.
