Yuri Eduardowitsch Sadowenko ( Russian Юрий Эдуардович Садовенко ; born September 11, 1969 in Zhytomyr , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian Colonel General and Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation .

Life

Sadovenko graduated from the Lenin Komsomol Airborne College in Ryazan in 1990 . From 1990 to 1994 he held various command posts in the armed forces of the Russian Federation and took part in combat missions. From 1994 to 2002 he served in departments of the Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Consequences of Natural Disaster Removal . He took part in domestic and foreign humanitarian and rescue operations several times. From 2002 to 2007 he worked as an assistant to the Minister of Civil Defense and from 2007 headed his staff. In 2008 he graduated from the Russian Academy of Economics and Public Service under the President of the Russian Federation . From May to November 2012 he was the head of administration at the Governor of Moscow Oblast . By decree of the President of the Russian Federation of January 7, 2013, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of Staff of the Ministry.
