Juanjo Puigcorbé (born July 22, 1955 in Barcelona ; born Juan José Puigcorbé Benaigues ) is a Spanish actor and screenwriter .

Life and accomplishments

Puigcorbé made his acting debut in 1976 in an independent theater company. He played his first film role in the 1978 comedy L'Orgia , for which he also co-wrote the screenplay. The leading role in the film Pasión lejana (1986) won him a prize at the Sitges Festival Internacional de Cinema de Catalunya that same year . For the role in the comedy Salsa rosa (1992) he won an award at the Peñíscola Comedy Film Festival in 1992 . As a leading actor in the 1994 television series Villarriba y Villabajo , he won the 1995 Edición Premios Unión de Actores and the Fotogramas de Plata , and in 1995 he was nominated for the TP de Oro . The leading role in the film My Soul Brother (1994) earned him the Sant Jordi Prize in 1995 .

In the comedy Who Loves Lives Dangerously (1996), Puigcorbé played the role of a man who for decades had a love for a woman who was embodied in the younger years by Penélope Cruz and at the age of Ana Belén . For his appearances in the television series Un chupete para ella he won the Fotogramas de Plata in 2001 and was nominated in 2001 and 2002 for the TP de Oro and in 2001 for the Edición Premios Unión de Actores . His role in the comedy Inconscientes (2004) won him the Premis Barcelona de Cinema award in 2005 .

Puigcorbé has a daughter born in 1987.
