Building history

The church was built over a two-year construction period from 1954 to 1956 in order to address the problem of space in the Delling church near Kürten . This had existed since the end of the Second World War , when many Protestant expellees from the eastern regions came to the Bergisches Land and the previous Protestant diaspora transformed into a popular church .

inner space

The interior of the church is designed as a three-part hall in the shape of an ellipse .

tower

The original tower was made of greywacke . In 1990 it was dismantled and replaced by a new church tower made from a different natural stone.

Church organization

The Jubilate Church - with the Evangelical Community Center in Schmitzhöhe - is one of the two preaching sites of the Evangelical Church Community. This belongs within the Rhenish Church to the parish of Cologne-Rechtsrheinisch .
