Juha Heikki Itkonen (born June 8, 1975 in Hämeenlinna ) is a Finnish writer . He lives in Helsinki with his family .

Professional background

Itkonen studied political science in Helsinki and initially worked as a journalist . In addition to his work as a writer, he has appeared as a commentator on contemporary issues , for example in the YLE radio program "Round Table" (Pyöreä pöytä) and in newspaper columns.

style

Itkonen's novels often deal with realistic stories in which, in addition to the plot, reflections by the protagonists on everyday life, outlook on life and social conditions play a central role. The descriptions of the everyday environment are characterized by a high degree of precision.

He has published eight novels, a travelogue, plays, a collection of short stories, an exchange of letters and a children's book. Two novels were published in German:
