Jules T. friend

Jules T. Freund (born June 24, 1890 in Budapest , † April 22, 1960 ) was an American immunologist who developed the Freund adjuvant named after him .

Jules friend studied medicine at the Royal Hungarian University and was 23 years his doctorate . During the First World War he was in the Austro-Hungarian Army.

In 1949/1950 he was President of the American Association of Immunologists . In 1959 he was awarded the Albert Lasker Award for Basic Medical Research .
