American Association of Immunologists

The American Association of Immunologists (AAI) is a in the United States existing association of doctors , scientists and students working in the field of immunology work and related scientific disciplines. It was founded in 1913 and with around 7,600 members in around 60 countries is the largest immunological specialist society in the world. With the Journal of Immunology, the AAI publishes one of the most renowned specialist journals in the field of immunology and awards a number of prizes and honors in recognition of scientific achievements. The highest body of the society is the eight-person council elected by the members of the AAI. There are also twelve standing committees for various activities. The registered office of the company is in Bethesda, Maryland .
