Julia Born

Julia Born (* 1975 in Zurich ) is a Swiss graphic designer.

Life

After studying at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie , she worked in the Netherlands and Switzerland. She was a member of the selection jury for the most beautiful Swiss books from 2002 to 2006. In 2008 she won the Inform Prize for conceptual design, for which she was able to curate her own exhibition entitled Title of the Show , in which she put various clippings of her work on the walls of the premises and thus transformed the space into book pages.

Between 2005 and 2008 she was Art Director of Metropolis M , a Dutch magazine for contemporary art. In addition, she continuously gives lectures and teaches workshops at various design universities, such as the HfG Karlsruhe . In 2008 she was a graphic design tutor at the Yale School of Art , a faculty at Yale University . For several years she worked with the Dutch fashion designer Joff .

Born lives in Amsterdam .
