Julia Davis (born August 25, 1966 in London ) is a British comedian , actress and screenwriter .

Life

Julia Davis was active in an improvisational theater group in her youth. In the late 1990s she had her first humorous roles on British television, for example in sitcoms such as Big Train or Jam . She also worked as a writer for the Human Remains series . In 2002 she played Moira in the feature film Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself and in 2003 the Caterin Nancy in Actually… Love .

She worked as a writer, actress and producer on the darkly humorous series Nighty Night . In 2013 she received the British Academy Television Award for her script for the series Hunderby .
