Julie Davis (* 1969 in Miami Beach , Florida ; born Julie Sandra Davis ) is an American director , screenwriter , actress , film producer and film editor .

Life and accomplishments

Davis made her debut starring alongside Tom Hanks in the comedy Bachelor Party (1984), but her role was not featured in the credits. A year later she was seen in a small supporting role each in the television comedies Challenge of a Lifetime and California Girls . She graduated from Dartmouth College and moved to Los Angeles .

Davis made her debut as a director with the horror film Witchcraft VI (1994), for which she also co-wrote the script. In the comedy Kisses forbidden (1997) she worked as a director, screenwriter, producer, editor and actress in a supporting role. For the comedy Amys Orgasmus (2001) she contributed to the direction, the script, the portrayal in the lead role, the production and the editing. For this work she received the audience award of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in 2001 .

Davis is married to film producer Scott Mandell and has one child.
