Julia Küng (* 2001 ) is a Swiss politician ( Young Greens ). She has been Co-President of Young Green Switzerland since January 2020.

In 2018, at the age of 17, Küng joined the Young Greens in Zug. In 2019 she was the co-founder and organizer of the Zug climate strike movement . In the same year she got involved in the women's strike in Zug on June 14, 2019. On January 18, 2020, she was elected to the co-presidium of the Young Green Switzerland together with Oleg Gafner at the general assembly in Aarau. Küng and Gafner succeeded Maja Haus, Luzian Franzini and Kevin Morisod.

biography

Küng grew up in Zug and graduated from the Zug Cantonal School with a focus on Spanish and a complementary subject in philosophy . In 2019 she graduated from canton school with the Matura . In the same year she began a six-month internship at the Aargauer local radio channel K . She has been working as a campaigner for the Corporate Responsibility Initiative since April 2020 .
