Luzian Franzini (born January 17, 1996 in Zug ) is a Swiss politician ( Young Greens / Greens ). He is Vice President of Green Switzerland and a member of the Zug Cantonal Council .

Life

Franzini grew up as the older of two children in Rotkreuz ZG . He graduated from the Cantonal School of Zug , which he graduated with the Matura in 2015 . His high school diploma thesis entitled “ Planned Obsolescence : A Comparison of Two Business-Ethical Solution Models ” was awarded the 2nd Röthlisberger Prize. He studied international relations at the University of Geneva and the Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar . He is currently studying for a master's degree in PPE (Philosophy, Politics and Economics) at the University of Lucerne and lives in Zug.

politics

Franzini was politicized by the nuclear disaster in Fukushima and by the election of the Zug National Councilor Josef Lang in 2011. In 2014 he founded the Young Greens from Lucerne , Nidwalden and Zug , of which he was co-president from 2014 to 2016. In 2016 he was elected to the Co-Presidium of the Young Green Switzerland in the first ballot. In 2018 he was elected to the Vice-President of Green Switzerland. In 2018 he headed the referendum committee against the gambling law "for addiction prevention and against network blocking", which consisted of fundamental rights organizations and left-wing parties. In October 2018, Franzini missed the election to the Zug Cantonal Council by 22 votes. In 2019 he headed the campaign for the Federal People's Initiative “Stop urban sprawl - for sustainable settlement development (urban sprawl initiative)” . In September 2019, he succeeded Vroni Straub-Müller in the Zug Cantonal Council. In January 2020 he resigned as Co-President of the Young Green Switzerland.
