Julia Pauli
Julia Pauli (* 1970 in Essen ) is a German ethnologist .
life and work
From 1990 to 1995 she studied ethnology, German , theater, film and television studies and a second degree in psychology at the University of Cologne . Since 2011 she has been teaching as a professor (W2) at the Institute for Social Anthropology at the University of Hamburg .
Her research interests are kinship ethnology, migration and transnational communities, gender studies, culture and demography, consumption and class, Latin America, especially Mexico and southern Africa, especially Namibia.
