Julian Gutowski

Julian Gutowski (* 1823 in Kraków ; † October 17, 1890 in Kraków) was Mayor of Nowy Sącz (New Sandez).

After studying law, he worked as a notary in Cracow. In 1846 he was arrested as a political opponent of Austria. In the same year, after his release from prison, he was elected Member of Parliament in Poland and Austria. From 1861 to 1865 he was a member of the Austrian Parliament and was a member of the constituency Nowy Sacz - Tarnow - Rzeszow (Crown Land of Galicia). In 1867 he was elected mayor of Nowy Sacz / Neu Sandez, where he ran a notary's office from 1860 to 1873. His term of office lasted until 1870.
