Julian Knorr

Julian Knorr (* 1812 in Posen , Province of Posen ; † 1881 ) was a German history painter from the Düsseldorf School .

Life

Knorr studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1840 to 1842 . At the art exhibition of the Berlin Academy in 1842 he exhibited the historical picture Assassination of Bishop Stanislaus by the Polish King Boreslaw . Another picture that is ascribed to him is entitled Market Square in Posen .
