The Julianatop is the highest mountain in Suriname in the Sipaliwini district . Until Suriname became independent from the Netherlands, the Julianatop was the highest point in the Dutch kingdom .
It is 1280 meters high and is located in the central Wilhelminagebirge , south of the 4th parallel between the western and eastern bifurcations of the Lucie River.
The mountain was named after Princess Juliana of the Netherlands .
