Julie Hackbarth-McIntyre

Julie Hackbarth-McIntyre (* 1961 in Barstow , California ) is an American businesswoman and local politician.

Julie is a niece of Ed Hackbarth , the co-founder of the Del Taco fast food chain . She currently runs one of the family-owned Del Taco stores in Barstow. She was a member of the local chamber of commerce and was named Barstow's "Woman of the Year" in 1997.

Hackbarth-McIntyre was first elected to Barstow City Council in 2006, before that she served on the Fire Protection Committee for five years. In 2012 she applied to succeed Mayor Joe Gomez . She was the only candidate in the November elections. Julie Hackbarth-McIntyre thus became - as the third woman to date - mayor of Barstow.
